We’re thrilled to announce that Shopify merchants can now use MorphL AI to make intelligent decisions and accelerate growth by offering personalized customer experiences: https://apps.shopify.com/morphl-ai
While the COVID-19 pandemic has subdued commerce globally and especially strained small and medium-sized businesses, it has accelerated the shift of purchase habits to ecommerce and Shopify is uniquely positioned to take advantage of it.
At the time of writing, Shopify powers 1.2M live websites around the world, according to BuiltWith.com. The most popular online stores in English speaking countries, according to BuiltWith.com use Shopify’s e-commerce platform:
- 800K websites in the US
- 46K websites in the UK
- 35K websites in Australia
- 27K websites in Canada
That means the percentage of websites using Shopify is close to 3% among the top 1M websites and the total number of worldwide sales realized through Shopify is $135B. To put this in perspective, Amazon’s total sales in 2019 were $280.5 billion, however Shopify is smaller than Amazon and growing at a much faster rate:

If you’re a Shopify merchant and want to infuse AI into your store to personalize customer experiences, here’s what you need to know (you can also follow the setup steps in the video above):
- Install the MorphL Shopify app
- Choose a ML model. A full description of our ML models is also available in the docs section.
- Connect the Google Analytics data source.
- The ML model will be trained automatically and it will start generating predictions.
Each Shopify customer will have associated predictions through meta-fields and tags. All predictions can be used to personalize the Shopify theme and marketing campaigns.
What more can you expect from MorphL Shopify App?

Since our mission at MorphL is to make AI open, accessible and easy-to-use for e-commerce professionals and companies worldwide, the Shopify app is just the first one in a comprehensive roadmap of integrations we’re planning to support.
